The State of Sound Boy Ent

Well, we survived 2020. A year filled with unprecedented challenges for a relatively new dubstep collective homed in the greatest city in the world. Now that we've had some time to reflect on last year, we figured it was time to check in and let you know what we've been up to and where we're heading in 2021.

We never thought we'd be organizing live streams, launching our first official website and YouTube channel all in one year; 2020 presented us as a collective a lot of hardships given the foundation of what SBE does - club nights - wasn't and still to this day is not an option. It's times like these where one's presented an option - Sink or Float? Do or Die? You get the picture. If you're reading this now, we cannot thank you enough for floating along with us to this major junction in SBE's short history. Adapting to the climate of a music industry in such disrepair has proven it's difficulties (understatement), but that didn't stop us in 2020 and certainly won't stop SBE from progressing onwards and upwards in 2021.

For many of our supporters in the NYC area, the SBE 1 Year Anniversary was one of the last live music events they attended. That's right, almost a whole mf year ago we gathered at The Kingsland in front of the mighty Jungle Skankin Sound System for a late night/early morning stacked up lineup of SBE favorites and gang members alike. That being said, you can expect a SBE 2-Year Anniversary stream on February 27th! Streaming live with our Kingsland family once again, we promise to deliver vibes nothing short of our first anniversary.

A major focus of ours last year was the launch of our YouTube channel, it's been nothing shy of a pleasure working with the artists and labels from all over the globe on premieres and showcasing tracks. We will continue to unload tracks and premieres on the YouTube throughout 2021, major thanks to everyone who's supported and subscribed to the channel thus far and special shout out to all the artists and labels for rocking with us as a growing channel. This leads us to the big news, the meat and potatoes, if you will, SBE is launching a Bandcamp page in 2021. First few releases already locked - real family business we can assure you - and if you've guessed it, our YouTube channel will be the first place to hear all forthcoming SBE bits! We're extremely excited to make this leap and it's important to note, this leap would not be possible without the support and love we've been shown the past couple of years.

It's only onwards and upwards from here and thanks again for being part of the ride. We'd like to think there's a light at the end of the tunnel with the state the world's in and we can assure you when when the time is right, SBE club nights will be back - louder and rowdier than ever.
