Coming direct from South London, DMWSOUND is a label that is not to be overlooked when it comes to sound system music, especially if that OG dubstep flavor is what you fancy. Lucky for you, this up and coming imprint has it's first compilation on the way, DMWSOUND Presents: Vol. 1. This 8 track ode to the sounds that brought dubstep to the forefront of the UK underground, is not one to be missed. Outside of this soon to be released compilation, their Bandcamp is filled to the brim with quality releases and the label also plays on Resonance FM regularly; having rising stars in the dubstep community on for guest mixes, most of which can be found on the label's Soundcloud page.

As expected from the two DMWSOUND bossmen, Panix and Ranking Dan come correct with two of their own tunes on this mammoth 8 track compilation, along with a track from Teffa, one of 2020’s most prolific producers who’s music speaks for itself and needs no introduction. The Moonshine Recordings regulars Inner Echo comes through with a vibey roots inspired tune with a killer bass line and one of the meanest horn samples I’ve ever heard. There is also some absolute heat on this release from mans like Breez, who lays down an ominous soundscape reminiscent of a dystopian Los Angeles from Blade Runner that drops into absolute madness that is sure to have the dance going nuts. The Compilation finishes off with three massive tunes from the likes of Tik & Borrow, Bisweed, and Tribal Dubs; all three tunes have their own vibe but are equal in their ability to get people moving.

Whenever I listen to new music I I always give it three chances to win me over. I give it a run through on my laptop speakers, a run through on my headphones and of course you gotta give it the classic car test and belt it through your car system. This compilation passed all three tests with flying colors. There is top notch production from the thumping low ends that shake your entire car, to the ethereal and textured high ends that punch right through the bass. This release is such a complete representation of the versatility and creativity that is sweeping through Dubstep right now, in what I consider to be the the renaissance of deep, bass driven Dubstep that many of us live for. Keep your eyes peeled for more to come from the DMWSOUND crew, because if this compilation is any representation of what is yet to come, then this label will surely be forcing their way into discussions about which imprint is at the cutting edge of the scene.
